Dear artscope magazine,
The piece on the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art in your January/February 2009 issue, pages 32-33, appears to focus heavily in word and image on the design of the delightful building itself yet, as far as I can tell, the architect is never identified — why not?

Dear artscope magazine
I very much liked the piece Sarah E. Fagan wrote on “Pared Up, Paired Down:
Interdisciplinary Fieldwork in Fiber and Paint” at the Maine Center for Craft for the April 17 artscope email blast! I didn’t get to see it with the image, but I will track it down somehow. Your words are clean and true — may all art go in that direction.

Dear artscope magazine
Thank you for including my image in the Capsule Previews section of the
January/February 2009 artscope. I am grateful to be included as this brings
people into the show. Thanks for your interest in my work.

Dear artscope magazine
What a catalyst you are. People are calling in and coming by the C.X. Silver Gallery from nearby states asking about our “Spotlight Indonesia” exhibition because they saw or heard about it from artscope. Who would’ve thought we would increase the number of artists, arts organizations and art friendly businesses who decided to be part of an artscope ad tenfold. The extra copies have come in handy. Showing people the quality of the writing and color separations, the breadth of creative pursuit and the abiding sense of connecting with a dynamic art scene — it all wins people over to a new kind of print media outreach.
